From the Galveston Daily News–GALVESTON — One of the most unusual cargoes ever carried across the Pacific entered Galveston Bay at lunchtime Tuesday as a Chinese ship began the last lap in its delivery of three giant container cranes to the Port of Houston.
The Zhen Hua 26, a semisubmersible vessel built to carry such massive structures, passed through Bolivar Roads after bringing the 270-foot-high cranes on a 60-day voyage from China via the Panama Canal.
