Pat traveled all the way from Oregon to see what the tanker surf hoopla was all about. Early morning glass and a huge tanker is what he scored. This particular surf spot can net ride lengths of 5 miles with the right ship and conditions.
Weather for the day stayed nice, with light winds prevailing, and just before calling it a day, another huge outbound vessel produced a wave lasting nearly 3 miles! Pat will now return to Oregon stoked, but not quite ready to sport the 5/4/3 hooded wetsuit.
